This We Believe

  • Farmers and farming contribute valuable stewardship and citizenship to our communities.
  • Animal husbandry practices should be set by veterinarians, animal scientists, farmers and other experts in animal care.
  • Farmers are ethically responsible to care for their animals and the land.
  • To thrive, farmers need an adequate price for their products, and the social license to operate.
  • Farms of all sizes contribute to the local economy and agriservice infrastructure. Farmers should be free to choose their own management philosophy.
  • We must educate our communities about the benefits of farm businesses and farmers. We must reinforce agricultural, economic and environmental realities and benefits, and create an atmosphere at the local level that helps our farms compete.
